Don’t miss the 41st edition of Vele di Pasqua, the world famous sailing event that takes place at Cesenatico (FC) during the Easter Holidays form 4th to 6th April. Given the success of the previous editions in 2015 the “Congrega velisti Cesenatico” has given the ok to the famous sailing event also known as the formula one of the sea. The prediction is for a spectacle the like of which has never been seen before thanks to the participation of over 100 boats that will create a rainbow of colour in the long stretch of blue that is that Adriatic Sea. The best skippers will taking part from and come from all over Europe including Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Holland, France, San Marino and Slovenia.

The type of catamarans allowed in the competition are the olympic Tornado, Class A, Hobie Cat 16, Hobie Cat 16 SPI Youth, Tyka, F18’ and other classes of catamarans without cabins that are shorter than 21 foot, with at least 10 crew. The classes with fewer than 10 crew members will be divided based on their length in the categories 17, 19 and 21 foot and they will race with handicapped times based on the ISAF Small Catamaran Rating coefficients. The routes of the regatta will consists of triangles between three buoys that the boats will have to navigate three times, at a distance of about half a mile from the coast and situated in front of the beach of the Congrega Velisti at Ponente, from which visitors can enjoy the spectacle.

There will be six tests of the triangle, which will last around 2 hours. The first race will start at midday on 4th April 2015, while the final race will be on 6th April at 3pm.

To be able to take part it is necessary to fill out a form and send it by email, fax o mail to the Congrega velisti di Cesenatico before the 22/03/2015. While the rules of the regata will be available from 3pm from the 3/04/2015. The first five of each class or group with at least 25 taking part will receive a prize and the first three of each class with at least 10 participants; the absolute winner, worked out by summing the olympic points and based on the competitiveness of the class will be assigned the 17° Trophy of the City of Cesenatico.
